Cheap Easy Vegan Breakfast

As many of you know, my husband and I eat a primarily plant-based diet. We do this to save money and make a lower impact on the environment. This is one of our go-to breakfast meals that is super cheap, super delicious, and super easy to make.

Breakfast Bagel



1 Bagel ($0.40)

2 tbsp Natural Peanut Butter ($0.14)

1 Medium Banana ($0.05)

Cinnamon to Taste ($0.01)

Total Cost: ($0.60) To find the cost of a meal take the price of the item and divide it by the servings. Round up to the nearest cent. This is the serving size cost. Add all the serving sizes costs you eat together for each ingredient. This is the total meal cost. To find the nutritional value of each meal use the Chronometer app.


First, toast your bagel. Next spread one tablespoon of peanut butter on each side of your bagel. Then, slice your banana and put slices on top of the peanut butter. Last, sprinkle cinnamon on the banana.
