Vegan Korma

Korma is an Indian dish that ties to the Urdu language. This was my first time making the dish and to be honest I was a little nervous. Since, this is my first time making Korma I decided to buy a Korma sauce so I can get use to the flavors. The sauce I bought was delicious! Here is the recipe, I hope you enjoy!


Since this dish is vegan I used cauliflower and tofu to give the dish texture and protein. I also used bell peppers in the dish.

This is the sauce and butter I used for the recipe.

14 oz. of Korma Sauce

Vegan Butter

1 Bell Pepper of Your Choice

6 oz. Extra Firm Tofu cut into 1/2 inch pieces

2 Cups Chopped Cauliflower

2 Cups Cooked White Rice – Cooked with vegetable stock instead of water.


1.) First, brown 1 tablespoon of vegan butter in a large wok on medium heat.

2.) Pan-fry the tofu until golden brown.

3.) Next add the cauliflower and peppers. Cook until veggies are tender.

4.) Blend in your korma sauce. Heat until a light simmer occurs. Keep simmering for 5 minutes.

5.) Serve on top of 1 cup of warm cooked rice.

Serves 2


My next goal is to eat real authentic Korma and try to make my own sauce. Wish me luck!
